Three Squares in Blues
Art Glass Wall Sculpture
Created by
Caryn Brown
This piece reimagines the quilt square, taking a traditional textile expression into the world of art glass. Three squares in different shades of blues are arranged in a linear fashion and can be mounted on the wall with aluminum standoffs (included).
To create this piece, glass strips are hand cut and arranged on edge. The glass is then kiln-fired to more than 1500 degrees. At this temperature, the heated glass melts, fusing the glass strips together.
