Amber Aqua Tall

Amber/Aqua Tall is influenced by Latimer's interest in knotted rugs and textiles both in pattern and the weaving of colors. By layering and fusing translucent glass pieces, Latimer builds a subtle unique palette as in a water color painting as well as movement of the glass as it heats and flows in the kiln. The glass also has an iridized surface which is more visible in low and reflected light.

Working with the irids is like building a second piece, the primary based on the color of the glass and the echo paying close attention to the colors of the iridized reflections.
