Lichen
Art Glass Platter
Created by
Sarinda Jones
A new body of work created from a glass art residency in the Highlands, 10 years ago. This Kilnformed glass piece is titled "Lichen" and is irregular in shape with a texture on the underside.
What is Lichen? Lichens are more abundant and better developed in Scotland than in other parts of the British Isles. Many people notice lichens for the first time as they see dense, shaggy coats on tree trunks and rocks - 'old man's beard' hangs to a foot long-off branches."
Each piece is uniquely made to order and there are slight variations in each work that make this work collectible.
