Equilibrium Balance III

Equilibrium Balance III is a kinetic sculpture of weights and measures. In the niches in the body of the piece are steel weights with a single word engraved on them. The words are feelings and emotions such as hope, passion, fear, love, chaos, and terror. The weights are to be placed on the steps of the balance beam. Can your passion balance your fear? Should it? Do you need to add more chaos to one side? It is a physical means of measuring and balancing what is inside, for finding balance in the imbalance.

It is a mixed-media sculpture made of solid poplar, mahogany, steel, and milk paint.
