Black-Eyed Susan is a small table made from solid maple, poplar, and cherry. The parts of the base are joined with dowels and tenons, glued, clamped, and then hand shaped. The top and sub-top are turned on a lathe. The sub-top is then hand textured with carving gouges. All surfaces are sanded with fine grit sandpaper and finished with wipe-on polyurethane with the exception of the sub-top; it is finished with black milk paint.
