Blaney searched long and hard to find an ash board with a grain pattern to echo the shape of this long graceful elliptical top. He then stained it white and added an ever-so-subtle grayish-blue grain filler to color the wood's pores. The hand sculpted black walnut base is subtly articulated. The artist gave it the name of a narrow, sinuous waterway close to his home in Maine
