Black maple side chair frame is constructed using mortise and tenon joinery while the seat and back consist of individual solid wood blocks that are woven together with a single steel cable that is covered in woven polypropylene. The cable has an 2100 lb breaking strength and is impervious to stretch and wear. This technique allows for the seating surface to adjust to the body creating unmatched comfort for an all wood chair.
