Wave Bench

The Wave Bench is a composition in curves and angles. The base is a slab of cherry ripped in two then rejoined with cleats separated by a strip of walnut set between the two boards. The rail underneath the seat is curved at a reverse angle to the seat. The seat of the Wave Bench is 8/4 wood (2 inch thick) cut in the middle at an angle and rejoined. A series of internal tenons and walnut splines join the two pieces. It is then shaped to its distinctive wave curve. The ends are capped with angled breadboards.
