This playful necklace abstractly caricatures the winking eye of mythology's naive monarch, who fell victim to his own hubris. The unique format features a continuous loop neck wire, spanned by a raised brow suspended over a bright red eye.
The necklace measures 9.7"L, 5.7"W, .7"D, and features a gold tone, five strand stainless steel cable, secured with a sterling silver friction clasp. The central brow is carefully sculpted over a reinforced armature, then a thin veneer of gradient black and gold polymer is applied. The delicate surface pattern is impressed dot by dot into raw clay, then cured, backfilled in white and cured again. The final touch, the dramatic counter drilled solid red bead as the king's eye. Every necklace by this artist features a hand carved and backfilled signature block on the back, ensuring that each piece is uniquely yours.
