These gorgeous castings of Lunaria Annua (money tree, or honesty plant) leaves retain all of the detail and texture of the original leaves. The surface of the leaves appears to be slightly folded and creased, just like that of the fresh leaves.
The artist collected these leaves from her back yard and to get them ready to cast, built up the thickness a bit with wax. The backs are smoothed and the edges softened slightly, and once cast, they are given a high shine to bring out all the highlights and details.
Each leaf measures almost 1 1/4' long and 1' wide.
The solid sterling silver leaves hang from sterling silver french ear wires.
