These vivid, sculptural earrings capture the drama of the deep jungle. Highlighted with surface-drilled holes that reveal the inner core's color, they feature subtle backfilled stripes and countersunk turquoise glass beads. Each three-sided pod is built with layers of polymer clay, hand formed over an original mold.
The results are hollow, lightweight forms that make a statement when suspended on sterling silver ear wires. The vibrant surfaces and patterns are the actual color of the clay, carefully applied and cured in 10–12 individual stages. Each pair has a hand-carved and backfilled artist signature block on the back. As handmade works of art, each pair will vary slightly, ensuring that each piece is uniquely yours.
