Split Blossom Earrings

The delicate asymmetry of these sculptural earrings reflects the intimate life cycles of a seasonal garden. Splashed with an array of turquoise and violet spots on a sunny golden hue, the individual earrings feature a quartet of dangling red and magenta stamens. Each blossom is built with layers of polymer clay, hand formed over an original artist mold.

The result is a hollow, lightweight design that really makes a statement when suspended on sterling silver ear wires. The vibrant surfaces and patterns are the actual color of the clay, carefully applied and cured in 10–12 individual stages. Each pair features a hand-carved and backfilled artist signature block on the back. Due to the handmade nature of this piece, each is unique and will vary.
