Tuscan Eclipse Brooch

This brooch reflects the agricultural abundance of Tuscany caught in the path of a solar eclipse. The artist sculpts the free form profile of the brooch over a hand-fabricated reinforced armature. Thin veneers of colored clay are applied and cured one by one in up to 10-12 individual stages.

This meticulous process results in a lightweight, hollow, statement brooch. Each piece by this artist features a hand-carved and backfilled signature block on the back, ensuring that each piece is uniquely yours.
