One Night in Tlaxcala
Created by Jeff Ferst
Ferst is a colorist and landscape painter who, in the course of his career, found abstraction and now marries the three in his work. Right now, he paints his experiences living in Mexico and incorporate the colors, the sounds, and the magic he has discovered here among the most gentle of people. This painting is from a recent trip to a mountainous area full of thick pine forests and endless sky. This setting could be anywhere that is quiet, remote and full of the sounds of nature. If you look carefully at the painting you can feel the breeze whistling through the trees and smell the fresh clean air under a sky full of stars. Edges painted black and wired for hanging.
