Jewels of the Floating World No.2

"Jewels of the Floating World No.2" is one of a series of works done after a trip to Japan. Instead of painting scenes from her trip, the artist paid homage to the Japanese symbols and objects from their rich Edo period in history where there were lovely images of geishas, ponds, fish, birds, and fans. Of course, the artist made these all up, but used these symbols to explore good design. Wood cradle sides.
