Homage to Emily
Oil Painting
Created by
Marion Kahn
Kahn's thought mentor in creating this painting was the uber-talented American abstract painter, Emily Mason. Kahn diluted oil paints with three mediums. Over weeks she layered color over color, slowly rolling the liquefied paints over each other. This technique created texture and sheen, particularly in the center section. On gallery-wrapped canvas with gray painted sides.
