Flood Plain

Judy Hawkins loves the way the abundant spring rain renews the Connecticut River. Her painting, "Flood Plain", captures the vibrant colors and textures of spring in the setbacks along the river. Willows and birch trees line the distant shore. Hawkins uses thin layers of oil paint to create glazes that add dimension to the painting. This original oil is painted on gallery-wrapped canvas with unpainted sides and is ready to hang. An archival varnish has been applied to preserve the beauty.
