Clouds over Germantown 11o16
Oil Painting
Created by
Jonathan Herbert
This is one of two oil paintings called Clouds over Germantown. The artist thinks of them as an homage to the Hudson River School: they are paintings of the same area and there is an equivalent intensity in concern with the power of natural light.
The painting will arrive with a coat of damar varnish to protect it from solids in the air that might be deposited on it. It should be professionally framed to brace and protect it, as well as to enhance its beauty. As with all artwork, this piece should not be hung in direct sunlight.
The surface can be dusted lightly with a soft feather duster. Signed "VERSO".
