Mixed Media Painting
Created by
Emily Donovan
This lovely painting suggests the movement of prairie grasses in the Great Plains of the Midwest; deep red, magenta and sienna surround the dancing vegetation as a subtle wind passes through. The work is created with natural pigments on paper, and each color source is handmade by the artist from botanical sources including onion skin and logwood. The artwork is mounted on a hardwood cradle with an acid-free wheat paste and framed with a poplar floater frame with natural finish The painting is protected with an additional layer of wax and UV varnish and is ready to hang.
