Inspired by events taking place during Russian aggression against Ukraine, this mixed-media collage painting speaks to the will of the Ukrainian people to stand for what is rightfully theirs—the land on which they live, the freedom to choose the direction their country is going, and the ability to preserve their own culture. Strong colors and design elements allude to Ukraine’s firm stance against a dictatorship that doesn’t recognize the values of the country they are invading. Composed of Dura-lar acetate film, acrylic paint, gel medium, and resin on cradled wood panel.
