Resting by the Gentle Waves

This is an acrylic painting and fabric collage on gallery-wrapped canvas with painted sides. The composition is first sketched with charcoal onto the canvas surface. Beautiful, patterned fabrics are then cut and glued onto the surface of the painting, and acrylic paints are applied.

In this work, you can almost feel a gentle breeze blowing. A woman rests, another carries a basket of flowers, someone else wades as a cat looks on, and waves lap the shore soothingly. In this unique composition, the foliage gently leads your eyes around the canvas.
