Friction

Dynamic composition of metal and surface texture. The inner and outer workings are gear-like that seem to be misaligned so the viewer senses the "friction." The surface of the piece has a texture that also stays with exploring the idea of tension and friction.

It is the artists' hope that you can view the piece and gain an understanding and appreciation that things do not always go smoothly. Nothing is without conflict, but the goal of working through conflict to come to a greater understanding and appreciation of all things around us.
