Summer Moon

Printed with oil based, fine art printmaking inks on Stonehenge, 100 percent rag paper. Titled, numbered, and signed in pencil below the image area. Limited edition of 100. The densely forested mountains of the eastern United States have been the artist's home for most of his life. Near the end of a long journey from Alaska to Vermont, he was camping in the Smokey Mountains of Tennessee. Forest fires in the west were raging and the smoke from far away was tinting the sunsets in rosy tones. One evening, the full moon was rising above the mountains and this image stuck with him for nearly 30 years between then and when this print was made.
