Chili Earrings

These stunning earrings are created using a torch to heat successive layers of metal to nearly melting, allowing the artist to create subtle patterns in the metal. The metal is repeatedly cleaned and rolled through a mill during this process until the desired surface texture and pattern is achieved. During fabrication, small pieces of karat golds, filings, and granules may be fused to the surface.

These intricately worked earrings are enhanced by rough-cut pink tourmaline stones, held in place with 18k gold prongs. The small beads are ancient Roman glass. Small areas of 24k gold further enhance the design. Each pair will vary slightly in texture and the shape of stones. 18k gold posts.
