A limited edition print on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper using archival inks. The original is oil on panel. This is another in a series of intimate bird portraits.
While spending time working in Costa Rica, Wolff was "confronted" by a pair of Keel Billed Toucans. He was impressed by how protective the Toucans were of each other and how daunting their beaks could be. This image is an attempt to contrast between the massive proportion of the Toucan's beak, and the bird's ability to use it with tenderness and delicacy. Prints are signed and numbered on the bottom margin. Limited edition of 200 per size.
