Ajo

Arriving at the town of Ajo in southern Arizona close to the Mexican border, it was toward the end of the day. The church in the center of town was back lit by the lowering sun in yellows, pinks, and golds. The stained glass window over the entrance is reminiscent of a mandala, and as Wolff worked, the plaster around the window appeared to swirl.

This is a limited edition print on Hahnemuhle German Etching paper using archival inks. The original work is oil on canvas. Prints are signed and numbered on the bottom margin.
