Repeated Refrain II

"Repeated Refrain II" was created by combining painted silk with digital prints on silk. Painted segments are hand-painted with watercolor using traditional methods. Printed sections are cropped from one of the artist's original watercolor paintings; then transferred to a silk substrate. Every step from painting, to building the digital transfer on the computer, to inventing the design, to final quilting is completed by the artist. The result is a totally original one of a kind fiber art wall hanging. To display hang freely from a rod inserted into the sleeve that has been sewn on the back of the piece.
