Jewel Box

Improvisationally designed circles in two different sizes feature a predominantly cool color scheme of restful blues, purples, and greens in the large circular forms, energized by pops of lime green and orange in the smaller units. The surface is activated by a swirl and jigsaw puzzle motif stitched freehand into the central design, and a fan and spiral motif in the asymmetrical borders on two sides.

Design pieced from cotton hand-dyed fabric. Freehand quilted on a home sewing machine using a variety of motifs. Variegated cotton thread used in quilting.

Hanging sleeve and rod included. Easily hangs from two small nails in the wall.
