"Big City 2" is inspired by memories of the urban lines, ironwork, and fire escapes the artist encountered while walking to work through the Lower East Side of New York City.
The artist prints and hand draws on cotton fabrics using thickened dyes in a deconstructed screen-printing process. She combines these fabrics with detailed stitching, creating textured layers and thread drawing to intuitively complete the work. The piece is gallery wrapped on a stretcher frame and is ready to hang. Signed on the front and back.
