As much sculpture as it is personal embellishment, this unique necklace is the definition of everyday armor: soft, strong, and protective. Named after a song performed in the pop opera “Now I’m Fine” by Seattle storyteller and composer Ahamefule J. Oluo, “Blood Champagne” is composed of multiple lengths of cotton rope.
After the individual cords are dyed, rinsed, and dried, the design is laid out and meticulously pieced together with mercerized cotton yarn using a modified whipping technique. Hammered brass hook-and eye-clasp with glass bead detail. Each is unique and will vary.
