Waiting for the Sun

A timeless mixed-media piece featuring an original photograph printed with archival pigment inks on cotton printmaking paper. Ishii highlights the image with colored pencils to create a painterly effect and affixes the print to a cradled wood panel with PVA. She coats the piece with wax to give the image a translucent quality. The sides of the panel are painted black and finished with clear acrylic, so framing is optional. Ready to hang. Signed with title, date, medium, size, and edition number on the back of the panel.
