The largest of the heron family, the beautiful Great Blue is one of the most elegant. Captured in the Florida Everglades during mating season. As the birds sounded their mating songs, Moore saw this magnificent adult balancing on the bare branches, gracefully arching his long neck, as if in a classic a Japanese painting. The finishing stroke was the one black plume on the crown of his head, upturned by the wind. The clouds and surrounds were enhanced with watercolor painted overlay textures.
Recently acquired for the decor of the elite Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo.
Captured with a high quality digital camera. Printed on fine art quality heavy cotton rag paper with archival pigment inks which produce a rich and realistic print that will last indefinitely. It is titled, numbered, signed, and dated below the image. Limited edition of 100 each size.
