Rich, earthy colors complement the natural feel of this hand-built ceramic vessel. Utilizing her own interpretation of saggars, Sevastyanova wraps her works in aluminum foil before raku firing to create unique color variations.

Saggars are lidded containers that enclose pots in a kiln, creating special atmospheric conditions that produce unique, one-of-a-kind coloring and patterns.
