Thread of Life II

Inspired by dreams about the earth, this wheel-thrown and altered ceramic sculpture is a striking form with great presence. The surface gleams with a finish of copper pigment, and, in the center, freshwater pearls shimmer from an artful tangle of black wire. Sealed with lacquer and mounted on a steel base with a powder-coated satin black finish.
