Wheel thrown porcelain vessel with hand carved waterlily motifs and hand modeled base which resembles "wood" and hand sculpted heron. Airbrushed matte glazes fired to maturity in an oxidation kiln. Sculptural, nonfunctional perfume. Signed and dated.

The heron is one who wades in the water to find her food, connecting herself to the earth and then magically lifts off and flies away. Self determinate and reliant, this bird is independent and self sufficient. Beautiful in flight, the Heron reflects the innate wisdom of being able to maneuver though her life and to control her life circumstances. As a totem, she suggests that we follow our own innate wisdom and path of self determination. You know what is best for you and perhaps you should not listen to the prompting of others who do not know what it is you really want in your life.
