Muse

"Muse" is a cast bronze sculpture based on a series of live figure drawings. The model is a theater actress who posed in various positions with some expressions displaying a contemplative sensibility. She is relaxed, peaceful, and comfortable and the artist wanted to capture that mood in three dimensions, expressed through abstracting her figurative elements by introducing geometric planes to reflect light in a dramatic way and articulate her three dimensional body structure through angled flat surfaces. Can be placed outdoors in temperatures between -20 and 110 degrees F.
