Hosta Flower and Leaves

An image of the leaves of the common landscape plant, the hosta, surrounding one of it's flowers. This picture was taken in early June at the beginning of the flowering process. This is one image from a series of five which won First Place in the International Photography Awards in the Flora Division in 2008 and First Place in the entire Nature Category of PX3, the Prix de la Photographie, Paris, in 2009.

The picture is printed on matte surface fine art paper using archival pigment inks. It is titled and numbered on the lower left and signed and dated on the lower right. Limited edition of 50 plus two artist's proofs.
