Octotango

A striking visual dance, the intertwining of two octopi creates a singular work that encourages the viewer to take a closer look. Using techniques developed over years of experimentation, the artist utilizes crushed glass of various textures—from fine powder to rock salt—with a binding agent to create "glass paintings" with a stunning richness of color and depth. Additional layers of frit are added, and the process is repeated over multiple firings that help develop the overall final aesthetic. Backed with sheet aluminum and ready to hang.
