Sklenene Sny (Glass Dreams) Orbital Orchid

The "Sklenene Sny" (Glass Dreams) series is a modern glass art journey through time and history. The artist returns to his 1980's Czech glass training roots creating oversized glass vessels with a large team of assistants and then later creates intricate hot-sculpted and blown-glass tops with a more intimate team of one or two helpers. Inspired by both modernist abstract painting and Eastern European travels, this series builds on the concept of functionality on art and craft, and is a culmination of over three decades of training, travel, and experiences. Or as the artist prefers to say, these pieces represent "what perfume bottles want to be when they grow up'." Approximate combined weight of the two assembled sections is 32 lbs and both the base and lid are signed and dated.
