Purple Native Vessel

The form of this hand-blown glass vase is inspired by Native American pottery. The pattern finds inspiration in the blooms of hydrangea and lavender, smokey mountains, and winter's dusky sky. Purple, lilac, and yellow glass frits and powder are laid out beforehand and arranged in a manner to be consistent. This piece has a white and clear interior, which brightens the exterior colors and allows reflected light to give the piece a subtle illumination. The vase has a yellow accented lip and is sandblasted to give a matte finish that accentuates the sophisticated color pattern. Each piece is unique and will vary.
