Blue Native Vessel

The form of this hand blown glass vase is inspired by Native American pottery and this pattern finds inspiration from blooming bluebells and Hyacinth to deep oceans and glacial ice. The colors and pattern is composed of lapis, midnight, and sky blue glass frits and powder. These colors are laid out beforehand and arranged in a manner to be consistent. This piece has a white and clear interior, which brightens the exterior colors and allows reflected light to give the piece a subtle illumination. The vase has a green accented lip and is sandblasted to give a matte finish that accentuates the sophisticated color pattern.
