Falling Leaves

The last hint of summer green gives way to the rich oranges and golds of autumn in this handcrafted glass sculpture, evoking falling leaves as the sun sets over the hills. To create this composition, pre-designed sheets of transparent, opaque, and iridescent glass are layered and fused together.

Each design is fired separately, then cut, arranged, and layered to create a harmonious composition. The sheets are slumped on a custom form, giving the piece its gently curved shape, like a fallen leaf curled on the forest floor. Each piece will vary slightly in size, shape, and design.
