Art Glass Sculpture
Created by Helen Rudy
Thin strips of ivory, turquoise, and white glass are blended together to create a forth oyster grey color dimension produced by these reactive colors. Progressive sizing of the thin strips are laid on their edge like dominoes enabling a concentric ring to be created. The glass is fired in a kiln to 1400 degrees where the heat is enough to melt the pieces together while retaining an element of texture of each strip. The glass snugly fits into the custom powder coated stand. Signed by the artist.
