Atoll 3

An elegant tabletop sculpture composed of concentric strips of hand-cut glass in cream, turquoise, and white. The close placement of these colors results in optical blending, in which the colors visually mix to create the look of a fourth oyster gray color.

The glass is fired in a kiln to 1400 degrees, which is hot enough to melt the pieces together while retaining the texture of the individual elements. Each piece is made to order, and the exact color and pattern will vary.

The sculpture fits snugly into the included powder-coated stand. Signed by the artist.
