Veiled Triple Illusion
Art Glass Paperweight
Created by
Edward Kachurik
"Veiled Triple Illusion" is handcrafted using wooden blocks and newspaper to help shape the molten glass. This elegant design has three panels. Each panel is flattened while in the molten state. The veils of color are layered enhancing Kachurik's unique three-dimensional effects within the sculpture. The air bubble is suspended in the design. The exterior has a rich amber finish. Each flat surface goes through six different steps of grinding and polishing to achieve the optical polished finish.
Kachurik's transparent sculptures maximize the extraordinary inherent qualities of glass. After the piece is annealed the bottom is hand ground to create a flat surface. Each piece is unique and will vary slightly. Signed by the artist.
