Abstract Airplane View
Acrylic Painting
Created by
Carole Guthrie
Never knowing how the work will turn out, Guthrie applies paint with palette knife and scrapes color through the canvas. Brush in hand, she creates shapes, saving some of the scrapings to provide dimension. This work looked like a view through the clouds as she was on a journey to England. Patches, shapes and fields appear in the finished composition. On gallery-wrapped canvas with painted sides.
