Influenced by the vivid color and emotion of Vincent Van Gogh, the whimsy of Dr. Seuss, and Kandinsky's abstracts, artist Tracy Weil creates playful paintings that portray a passionate and colorful world. Weil's works often include brightly painted "ruralscapes" that merge with whimsical figures, objects, and tall, vibrant sunflowers.

As a painter Weil works primarily in high-quality Windsor Newton oil paint. He paints on canvas, linen, maple, and birch surfaces. Weil has no fear of color, and it shows in his bold and colorful work. More recently, Weil has been working toward taking his creative vision into the realm of public art, using sustainable materials.

Trained as an artist at Fort Lewis College under the tutelage of Englehart, Weil garnered the discipline and confidence that makes him such a prolific artist today. Painting for over twenty years, Weil creates work that is distinctive for its bold use of color.
