Kristen Baird

"My passion is creating meaningful, beautifully designed and skillfully crafted jewelry that tells a story and becomes part of your journey. With a background in architecture and a love for all things nature, I have a design aesthetic that fuses structured lines and organic forms with pops of color and texture."

Kristen Baird's aesthetic pays homage to motifs found in nature—waterfalls, landscapes, flora—with a graceful nod to the man-made elements of architecture. Her aesthetic is structural, but also seems as though it might have sprung organically from the natural world. Her work treats nature as a dance that is never still and always changing, often capturing and preserving a transitory moment in time.

Baird's jewelry is designed and handcrafted in her Savannah, Georgia, studio using a combination of traditional and advanced processes, including CAD design, reticulation, casting, and stone setting. She uses 18K gold, platinum, sterling silver, diamonds, semiprecious gemstones, and pearls to bring her timeless creations to life.

Kristen Baird received her BFA in jewelry design from the Savannah College of Art and Design. She was honored as a valedictorian nominee and received a Presidential Scholarship and an Outstanding Achievement Award. After graduating, Baird obtained her CAD certification and attended the New Approach School for Jewelers in Franklin, Tennessee, completing the Graduate Bench Jeweler program under instructor Blaine Lewis.
