John Nalevanko

"I pride myself in creating designs that are original, timeless, and have a direct connection to the purity of American furniture design roots. This is reflected in the use of American woods and an architectural language of honesty, simplicity, and durability. "

John Nalevanko is an award-winning architect, furniture designer and artist with over three decades of cutting-edge design experience. He is driven by an undiminished passion for quality design, a love of materials and the building process, and a childhood link to woodworking.

With his detailed knowledge of materials and technique, a long history of designing furniture, and the development of a mature, distinctive, and refined design language, Nalevanko works quickly from concept to construction documents. He then works closely with a carefully selected master-woodworker on each piece.

Although his love of wood and woodworking started as a child working with his master carpenter father, Nalevanko graduated from California State Polytechnic University in architecture. For over thirty years, he has had a private practice designing cutting edge architecture, while maintaining and developing his passion for furniture design.
