Cindy Liebel Jewelry

"I design jewelry specifically for comfortable, everyday wear... My jewelry is lightweight and effortless to style to complement an authentic and thoughtful life."

Cindy makes jewelry for the true individual who actively engages with the world and loves exploring culture, design, and history. She believes jewelry should speak to the person wearing it and offer a variety of sizes and metal finishes to empower our collectors, representing diversity. Designed specifically for comfortable, everyday wear, Cindy's jewelry is lightweight and effortless to style.

Each design starts with a sketch and translated through a digital die-cutting machine to cut her design into paper models of various sizes. This allows her to see the form and shape of the design in a more tangible way. Cindy creates a mockup of her finished piece using wire or sheet metal. She finalizes the design and begins the production process, handcrafting each piece in her Virginia studio.

After studying art history and photography in college she perused her career in computer science and administrative studies. As her life changed professionally, she sought out other opportunities that lead her into metalsmithing. Cindy learned basic metalsmithing techniques from a local goldsmith and since has used artistic skills to further her education through books and classes in Richmond VA.
